Russian cosmonaut Vladimir Vladimirovich Vasyutin died from cancer on
Saturday, July 20 at the Burdenko Military Hospital in Moscow. He was 50
years old. Vasyutin was a veteran of one space flight; he flew on Soyuz
T-14 to the Russian space station Salyut-7 in 1985. Following his cosmonaut
career, Vasyutin occupied the post of Deputy Chief of the Gagarin Air Force
Academy. Burial will take place on 23 July in Monino. Source: Association
